Guice 2.0 is out!

What the title says. Yessireebob (no pun intended. no, wait, maybe it is intended!) Guice 2.0 has finally been released! Read the official announcement here.

Looks like I got up to speed with Guice 1.0 just in time, too! I can’t wait to take 2.0 for a spin! Hopefully I’ll have some time to hack on it today. I just hope this one meeting I have doesn’t take the whole afternoon to finish; knowing the Clever client we have, it probably will, though.

Anyway, I’m particularly interested in seeing how OSGi support has improved from 1.0 to 2.0. Also, how 2.0 integrates now with servlets. And AOP as well. These things will affect how we do our projects, potentially in a really big, cool way. I’ll see what I can grok over the next couple of days and consolidate my notes, for future presentations.

I guess its official then: I’m a frickin’ Google fanboy now.
