Still not tournament-fit

Just got back from Muay Thai practice. Even after running last Tuesday and Thursday, lifting last Wednesday, and shadowboxing with weight straps last Friday, I’m still not back to my regular normal tournament-ready peak. Not that I’m looking to compete in a tournament anytime soon, but I just want to go back to my old tip-top shape. Its not enough that I’m not sick anymore — I have to be more than just ‘not sick’! I need to be better! Stronger! Faster! More conditioned!

Ah well; at least I did better this weekend than the previous weekend. This means the morning workouts I’d planned for myself during the past week did have a positive effect on my overall performance. All I need to do is to continue with it and I should be able to do even better next weekend.
